Senior forward David Cline recorded his third double-double in the young season as men’s basketball edged out a 62-59 victory against La Sierra University on Saturday night.

Cline’s 15 points and 12 rebounds led the way for Biola, raising their record to 6-2. Sophomore guard Dakota Anderson finished the contest with 15 points, as well.

After opening up the game on a 15-4 run, La Sierra recovered with 12 straight and the game remained close from there on out.

Junior guard Zack Zaragoza and sophomore center Mike Kurtz had double-digit ball games, scoring 12 points each for the Eagles.

Biola will travel to northern California next weekend for a pair of non-conference matchups against William Jessup University on Friday and California Maritime Academy on Saturday.
