Biola swimmers Megan Nerud and Chris Stutzman finished top ten in last week’s University of Redlands Bulldog Pentathlon. Nerud, a sophomore, finished sixth in the women’s division with a total time of 5:24.81 while Stutzman, a senior, placed eighth on the men’s side with 4:43.10.

The pentathlon combined five 100-meter races — butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle and individual medley — into an overall total time.

Stutzman’s freestyle time of 47.63 led all swimmers.

Sophomore Austin Sarna had a solid performance, finishing 16th out of 85 swimmers with a total time of 4:48.56.
