Biola hosted Arizona Christian University on Friday and swept them as they did once before earlier this season.
Biola came out energetic and ready to play. The Eagles established an early lead at 8-4. Setter Betsy Caulfield for Arizona Christian caught Biola off guard with two short serves but the Eagles quickly adjusted and were able to set up a play for senior outside hitter Christine Douglas to get a kill. The score was close in the middle of the set but the Eagles kept their lead at 16-15. Biola continued to push forward to win the set 25-20.
In the second set Biola had a slower start and trailed behind ACU at 0-2. The Eagles continued to play hard and came from behind to establish a strong lead at 10-5. Biola kept their lead through a series of kills and blocks. Douglas led the team in kills with a total of five kills in the second set alone and 13 overall. The Eagles ended the set on top with the score 25-19.
Biola started hot in the third set and lead Arizona Christian 4-0. The Eagles continued to play tough and put a bigger gap between them and ACU at 13-6. Biola went on to finish the third and final set at 25-14.
