Junior forward Jessica Austin scored a pair of goals right around halftime to lead the Eagles to a 2-0 victory over Arizona Christian University Tuesday night.

Austin tallied her first goal of the match in the 39th minute off of an assist from senior Natalie Oliver. Austin’s second goal came just after the half in the 49th minute when senior Taylor Lundquist fed her a ball through the defense, giving Austin a one-on-one against the keeper and making it 2-0 Eagles.

The two goals were all sophomore goalkeeper Briana Williams would need, picking up three saves on her way to her sixth shutout of the season.

Biola outshot ACU 21-7 in the match, picking up 14 shots in the second half.

The win solidified that the Eagles will finish no worse than fourth in the Golden State Athletic Conference and are 6-3 in conference play. Biola will wrap up their regular season on Saturday at home at 4:30 p.m. against The Master’s College.

The GSAC tournament begins Oct. 30 with Biola playing an opponent that is yet to be decided.
