The Biola women's soccer team suffered a tough 2-0 loss against No. 10 Westmont College on Saturday night in Santa Barbara.

The Eagles drop to a 5-5-1 record overall while Westmont improves its record to a 7-3-1.

The Warriors had an early lead as they scored their first goal in the first 10 minutes of the match. Westmont's Mallory Mitchell crossed the ball to the center of the box making it easy for Aolini Rueff to score the first goal.

In the 37th minute, Biola's defense was unable to stop Warrior Rueff's cross to Ashley Correa who scored their second goal.

At 2-0 in the second half, the Eagles attacked relentlessly but the forwards were unable to keep possession of the ball for too long, which prevented any real momentum that the rest of the players had assembled.

The Eagles were outshot 17-5 and only managed one shot on target throughout the game. They will continue conference play and will return home on Oct. 10 to face San Diego Christian College at 4:30 p.m.
