Biola men’s and women’s tennis faced off against conference rival Azusa Pacific today, March 10. The men lost 8-1 at Azusa Pacific, and the women lost 9-0. The APU men’s team is ranked fourth in the NAIA, and the women’s team is ranked fifth.

One particular bright spot came from sophomore David Mossman, who came back after a frustrating first set. After falling down 6-0 in the first set, Mossman fought throughout the second set, and would never give up. After fighting off match point in the second set, he pushed the match to a third decisive set. Mossman continued to battle, pushing the final set to a tiebreaker, where he sealed the deal with a 10-6 win in a tiebreaker. Unfortunately, he brought home the only win today for the Eagles, but is excellent momentum moving forward for this young athlete.

The Eagles will face off against Sewanee, University of the South, from Tennessee tomorrow, March 11. They plan to put this rough day behind them, and keep moving forward.
