The women’s basketball team rolled to victory over Concordia University on the shoulders of the dynamic duo of junior forwards Jennifer French and Jessilyn Conicelli. Each totaled 16 points in the blowout, and French secured 12 rebounds for her second double-double in three games. Conicelli attacked the glass fiercely, as usual, grabbing nine boards, six of them on the offensive end.

Biola dominated the entire game as they played solid defense and moved the ball around well. In the second half, the Eagles gave up only four field goals to Concordia in the span of 12 minutes.

Biola controlled the paint, outscoring Concordia by a 36-14 margin, which proved to be a determining factor in the Eagles victory. Biola drained 30 shots, which was good for 44.1 percent, while Concordia hit just 19 shots at a weak 27.9 percent.

Biola improves to 9-6 on the season, with its sixth win in the last seven games, and moves into a three-way tie for third in the conference at 5-2. Concordia drops to 9-6 overall and to 2-5 in GSAC play.

Biola returns to action on Tuesday (Jan. 19), hosting The Master’s College. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at Chase Gymnasium.
