Crime Log Nov. 4 — Nov. 10

This crime log features multiple cases of hit and run property damage, vehicle theft, vandalism and battery.

Hit and Run: Property Damage — Lot G

Reported on Nov. 4 at 5:56 p.m., occurred between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.

A hit and run occurred in the parking lot outside of Hope. A student reported damage to her car after returning to the parking lot. The case was reported with the Sheriff’s Department and remains active.

Vehicle Theft — Lot S

Reported on Nov. 4 at 9:12 p.m., occurred between Nov. 2 at 10:30 a.m. and Nov. 4.

A student reported their vehicle was stolen out of the Hope parking structure. The case was filed with the Sheriff’s Department and the vehicle was recovered by law enforcement. The report is still active with the university.

Vandalism — Grove Restrooms

Reported on Nov. 6 at 5:35 p.m., occurred prior.

The vandalism was reported by an officer during a walk through of the building. The vandalism entailed graffiti scuffed into the mirrors of the bathroom. The case is still active.

Battery — Hart Hall

Reported Nov. 8 at 6:12 p.m., occurred prior to Oct. 19.

Campus Safety is not able to provide extensive details on the battery dispute between two students. The incident has been referred to Student Development and is still an active investigation.

Hit and Run: Property Damage — Lot G

Reported Nov. 10 at 3 p.m., occurred between 1:30 a.m. and 2:40 p.m.

A student returned to their car parked outside of Hope Hall to find a scratch on it. The case is still active.
