Crime Log ― Oct. 2 – Oct. 8

This week’s Crime Log features two cases of trespassing and petty theft.

Petty Theft — Track and Field

Reported Oct. 3, occurred Oct. 1, between 8 p.m. and 8:20 p.m.

A student initially reported a missing wallet around the track. Later on, the student reported his wallet as stolen. This case is still active.

Petty Theft — Facilities Management

Reported Oct. 4, 9 a.m., occurred prior. 

A Facilities Management employee reported a stolen bike seat. The stolen bike seat was found on another bicycle. This case remains active.

Trespassing — La Mirada Apartments

Reported Oct. 5, 12:22 p.m.

A student reported a transient individual sleeping around the garages of the La Mirada Apartments. Officers told him to leave the premises and the case was resolved.

Trespassing — Horton Way

Reported Oct. 6, 3:44 p.m.

Several Alpha residents and other students reported a suspicious individual who looked to be in his 40s walking through Horton Way. Officers made contact by the Hope basketball courts and helped him exit out the campus’ main entrance with a trust pass.
