Following three consecutive home matches, Biola traveled to San Diego on Saturday to take on Point Loma Nazarene University. The Eagles dropped the match by a score of 4-0 to a talented SeaLions squad.
At No. 1 doubles, junior Lauren Lee and freshman Esther Lee fell by a final score of 6-2. At No. 2 the pairing of senior Tinisee Kandakai and sophomore Madison Swaney dropped their match 6-1, and the No. 3 duo of junior Allison Torres and freshman Ines Diaz fell 6-4.
Having won the doubles point, the SeaLions only needed three singles wins and they got to quick work on that as sophomore Sarah Morgan lost 6-0, 6-1. Torres then dropped her match 6-1, 6-1, and Lee fell 6-0, 6-2 to clinch the match for Point Loma.
Diaz, sophomore Lily Waterhouse, and freshman Anna Hartmann all had their matches cut short in the second set.
The Eagles (5-5) will look to get back into the win column at home on Monday against Colorado Mesa University at 1:30 p.m.
