Crime Log ― October 26-November 2

A multitude of incidents and crimes make up this week’s Crime Log.

Furnishing Alcoholic Beverages to a Minor ― Alpha

Reported Oct. 19, 12:12 a.m.

Students reported other students with alcoholic beverages. Campus Safety notified Student Development of the incident.

Recovered Vehicle ― Lido Apartments

Reported Oct. 25, 10:35 a.m.

A vehicle without a parking permit was parked in one of the Lido apartment parking spots. Officers checked the license plate and found it was not connected to anyone from Biola. They called the Los Angeles Police Department and found the car was stolen from another city. LASD continues the investigation.

Disturbing the Peace ― Lot K

Reported Oct. 26, 10:02 p.m.

A student reported yelling coming from Lot K. When the officer arrived, no one was there.

Fire ― Central Plant

Reported Oct. 29, 3:37 a.m.

Dispatch received an alarm from Central Plant. When an officer responded to the scene, they were able to see a glow from the building. The officer entered the building and saw a fire, later determined from a mechanical cause. After calling the fire department, the fire was put out.

Possession of Marijuana, Weapon on School Grounds and Drug Paraphernalia ― Lot L

Reported Oct. 31, 11:35 a.m.

An officer patrolling the area smelled marijuana. On approaching the scene, the officer confirmed the student had marijuana, a weapon and drug paraphernalia. After speaking with the student and confiscating the items, the case was referred to Student Development.
